Polaris World is a well known company which develops and builds luxury resorts with golf courses, managing the services of the whole residential and sporting complexes. Services that Polaris World provide include car hire, travel arrangements, cleaning and gardening services, telecommunications, catering and decoration and design.

Polaris World are currently building several exclusive luxury golf resorts which are just fifteen minutes from the white sandy beaches and turquoise seas of the Mar Menor. The Polaris World Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort is under construction just outside the town of Sucina which is a 15 minute drive from Murcia. The La Loma Resort is the smallest of the developments and will feature fewer than 500 properties which are built around a sporting complex with fifteen tennis courts, two multi sport tracks, a football pitch, swimming pool, 3,500 seater sports stadium and a 9 hole golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus.

Terrazas de la Torre is located between La Torre Golf Resort and Mar Menor Golf Resort and Jardines de la Torre is close to all the Polaris World resorts and 15 minutes from the Mar Menor beaches and San Javier (Murcia) Airport.

The resorts are being developed in a sensible and sympathetic way with construction of the Polaris World desalination plant starting during the first quarter of 2006. The company is keen to protect the environment and preserve the ecosystem in the region, and the desalination plant will produce over 56,000 m3 of water per day which is enough to supply over 200,000 people for an entire year and meet the additional needs of regional tourism. Polaris World is also in the process of constructing a reservoir at La Torre Golf Resort, and canals at Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort to make the most of the available resources.
